Mumbai: Kirit Somaiya was seen with blood on his face in a video shared by BJP.

BJP chief Kirit Somaiya accused the Shiv Sena of making an attempt to kill him within the presence of police personnel on Saturday. He stated he was injured after “100 goons” of the ruling get together attacked him with stones outdoors the Khar Police Station in Mumbai.

Mr Somaiya was seen with blood on his face in a video shared by former Maharashtra chief minister and senior BJP chief Devendra Fadnavis. One of many window panes of his automobile was seen shattered.

The incident occurred when Mr Somaiya visited the Khar Police Station after the arrest of Impartial Amravati MP Navneet Rana and her husband MLA Ravi Rana. The Ranas have been arrested earlier within the day, hours after they cancelled their plan to recite the Hanuman Chalisa outdoors Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s personal residence ‘Matoshree’.

“It is a complete collapse of regulation & order state of affairs in Mumbai & Maharashtra! Goons attacked @BJP4Maharashtra chief @KiritSomaiya ji proper in entrance of Khar Police Station & in presence of police personnel. That is completely unacceptable! We demand strongest motion,” he stated.

Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil issued a stern warning, saying his get together won’t maintain quiet over the difficulty.

A day earlier, BJP chief Mohit Kamboj’s automobile was attacked with stones in Mumbai’s Kalanagar Junction. He too had accused the Shiv Sena of attempting to kill him.
