The United Nations World Meals Programme says eight out of each 9 households in Afghanistan are going hungry.
The shortage of meals is the results of Afghanistan’s financial disaster. It has been compounded by the worldwide isolation of the Taliban authorities.
The USA and the Western donors lower funding and blocked the Taliban from $9bn in international money reserves. Taliban leaders need these funds launched.
However would that be sufficient to forestall a humanitarian disaster?
